Years 7-9

In the first three years all students study RE and the National Curriculum Key Stage 3 subjects, namely English, Mathematics, Science, French or Spanish, History, Geography, Art, Technology (including elements of CDT and Home Economics), Information Communication Technology, Physical Education, Music, Drama, Dance and PSHCE. German is taken as a second language by able students from Year 8.

For details of each subject studied at Key Stage 3, please click here to access our prospectus.

This year (2015-2016) sees the introduction of the 'Mathematics Mastery' Curriculum for our Year 7 students. Details of this programme can be found in the document below.

At the end of Year 9, students, in consultation with parents and staff, will determine their course of study for the next two years leading to GCSE or equivalent Level 2 Qualifications.  For this academic Year 2015-2016 we are carrying on with the system introduced last year and this can be found in the recent presentation given to parents at the Year 9 Information evening. A copy of this presentation can be found below in the 'Curriculum Documents' section.
