Local Author and Illustrator comes to Boswells!

Local Author and Illustrator comes to Boswells!

On Wednesday 26th September, local author and illustrator, Dennis Thompson, visited The Boswells school. He spent sessions leading workshops and teaching the students about publishing and illustrating books. During the workshops, students learnt ‘layering’ techniques for illustrating using computer packages.  The students, that are keen readers and writers, learnt about the process of publishing and were encouraged to try writing themselves.

Students had an enjoyable time and we hope to invite Mr Thompson or other authors back to the school for ‘National Book Week’ next year.
