Have Your Say Competition

Have Your Say Competition

On Wednesday 15th May we took 10 students to the finals of the Have Your Say competition, organised by the Association for Language Learning, Essex and East Anglia branch and hosted by the Thomas Lord Audley School. These students had already successfully passed the preliminary heats at Chelmsford County High School back in March.  Our students represented the school fantastically and performed their dialogues really well. In the initial round they performed a dialogue they had learned off by heart and then added four lines to (or written from scratch for year 10), in French, Spanish or German. Following this they were asked to perform a dialogue that they had only had 4 minutes to practice and they were marked on their fluency and pronunciation. The competition was really tough, with students from a huge variety of schools, (comprehensive, grammar and independent) from across Essex and Suffolk. The Boswells students tried their best and of the five pairs entered, Connie and Isabel were awarded third place for year 10 French.  We look forward to going back again next year.
