Music

We don’t mean to blow our own trumpet, but The Boswells Music Department offers a wide variety of fun clubs for students of all ages and abilities to join. Whether your interest lies in traditional ensembles, or a more exotic world music experience there is something for everyone!

Music clubs allow students to develop their teamwork skills, where every member is as important as the next. They also develop their creative skills, and are given the chance to flourish in an environment different to that of any other in their everyday school life.

We offer the following clubs:

Being part of a Music Department club gives students the opportunity to perform in various concerts throughout the year, with our next concert being the Summer Music Concert on the 14th July this year. Our ensembles are also taken on tours abroad to perform, most recently to Spain in July 2014, giving students the prospect of developing their knowledge of neighbouring cultures, both musically and socially. Performing publicly is a very important part of our clubs as the students know they will gain the reward for their hard work throughout the term.

Music clubs offer students a different way of learning in school, as they are taught differently with the focus being on performance and teamwork. Students often comment on how much fun they have in the clubs, and everyone always thrives on the big occasions.
