Essex Youth Conference 2020

On Thursday this week 12 of our year 9 students attended an Essex Youth conference that was organised by the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex. The day started with a workshop delivered by the Southend Combat Academy who led a light warm up. Students then completed workshops on Human trafficking, hate crime and staying safe in the digital age. After lunch there was a chance to meet the police dogs and have a Q and A session with the police commissioner, police officers, fire officers and representatives from the Essex ambulance service. It gave students a real insight into the work that is done locally to keep us safe.
