The Boswells School is an extremely popular, successful 11-18 school. We pride ourselves on the high levels of academic success and the wide range of extra-curricular activities available to our students.

We understand that our students get one opportunity at secondary education and we work tirelessly to ensure that every single student achieves the highest levels of academic success and aspires for excellence in everything they do. We have a comprehensive and successful transition programme with our local primary schools to ensure that all new Year 7 students have a smooth move to secondary school. For external students applying to our Sixth Form we have an induction programme to guarantee that their start to life in our Sixth Form is successful.

Year 7 Entry Open Evening for 2025-2026 intake

Wednesday 2nd October 2024 - 5:30pm to 8:00pm
Headteacher Presentations: 5:30pm and 6:30pm

Admission to Year 7 (September 2025)

Students wishing to join The Boswells School in Year 7 (starting September 2025) will receive information from Essex County Council regarding the admission process. Details on how to apply for a secondary school place can be found here. Details of all the admissions policies of every secondary school in Essex can be found here.
