Work Experience
Work Experience & Unifrog
Work experience placements are managed safely and securely at the Boswells School using the careers platform Unifrog (www.unifrog.org).
This digital system automates risk assessments, health and safety checks, and formal permissions between the student, employer, parents, and the school.
Work experience gives students a valuable chance to experience the workplace firsthand and develop essential skills for the future.
Students are required to source their own placements by contacting employers directly to make arrangements
Year 10 Work Experience is due to be taking place from Wednesday 16th to Friday 18th June 2027.
Next Steps for Students:
- Confirm the placement with the employer directly.
- Log in to Unifrog (students will have been issued with their login details).
- Add the placement via the "Placements" tool on their homepage (choosing Mrs Page, Careers Adviser, as their placement coordinator).
Once the initial details are added, the Unifrog system will automatically email the employer, the parent/carer, and the school to collect the necessary permissions. To ensure the process runs efficiently, it is essential that students enter all initial placement information accurately.
Placements will need to have been added to Unifrog by the deadline of Friday 16th April 2027 to allow enough time for the necessary checks to be processed in time for the placement to go ahead.
